Between Worlds is a collection of analog collages that explore the strange spaces where familiar realities begin to blur. Drawing from vintage magazines, natural landscapes and cosmic imagery, these pieces place ordinary scenes in unexpected contexts.
I am drawn to collage because it allows disparate worlds to coexist within a single frame. By cutting apart and reassembling existing images, I create compositions that feel both familiar and impossible. The resulting pieces invite viewers to linger in uncertainty, curiosity and wonder.
Beneath these surreal surfaces are recurring questions about identity, belonging, gender, power and our relationship to the worlds we inhabit. Some pieces engage playfully with cultural narratives surrounding the nuclear family, exploration and human progress. Others simply celebrate the unexpected connections that emerge when unrelated images are placed in conversation.
Ultimately, these collages exist between dream and reality, memory and imagination, and invite viewers to step through the doorway to see what awaits them on the other side.
